- Heatsail optimises the positioning of its devices to direct infrared heat specifically to the human face and upper body — the areas with the highest thermal sensitivity. Scientific literature confirms that the face is especially rich in thermoreceptors and reacts quickly to external heat sources. Moreover, sunlight on the face directly influences the autonomic nervous system and serotonin production, contributing to relaxation and overall well-being.
- That’s why we design our devices to emit radiant heat from above or the front, for example from an overhead structure above a table or seating area. Unlike wall-mounted systems that mainly radiate heat to the back and provide less comfort, we follow the natural logic of human heat perception.
